Integrated Head with Nozzle
A nuclear reactor and steam generator, core parts of a nuclear power plant, often have problems with welding and assembly with pressurized containers. Doosan’s Integrated Head with Nozzle ensures longer service life and safety by forging the nozzle and flange. Customers recognize the excellence of our technology for the Integrated Head with Nozzle for steam generators and nuclear reactors (the Korean standard APR1400 as well as the WEC standard AP1000).
Nuclear Energy Shell
The nuclear shell inside the pressurized container of a nuclear reactor is used in an atmosphere of continuous and extreme heat and high pressure from high-speed neutrons, thus requiring such properties as high solidity and high resistance to fractures. Doosan Heavy Industries and Construction is capable of manufacturing Upper, Inter, and Lower Shells for steam generators and reactors.

A core part of nuclear power and thermal power plants, a rotor shaft is a large, high-speed revolving shaft. It requires the strictest manufacturing procedure and quality management of all large castings/forgings. Its production requires extra pure molten steel from select material, formation technology, special forging and thermal processing technology, and advanced non-destructive evaluation technology.

Wind Power Shaft
A wind shaft is a core forged material shaft that transmits the wind energy delivered to the blade to the generator. It is manufactured as a hollow shaft to reduce weight. Since 2014, Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction has been supplying 2MW and 5MW wind power shafts to overseas markets, earning recognition for their excellent quality.
