Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction is recognized to have an outstanding quality assurance system in engineering, manufacturing, supply chain establishment, construction and service areas thanks to our ongoing efforts to validate and improve our quality assurance system.
Since we received ASME and KEPIC certifications and provided main equipment for Yeonggwang Nuclear Plant units 1 and 2 in 1976, we have delivered a whole range of main equipment for Korean nuclear power plants. In addition, since we began to export Sequoyah unit 1 to the US, the birthplace of nuclear power, we have been leading nuclear plant markets in China, the UAE and many other countries.
We implemented ISO 9001, ASME and KEPIC quality management systems and have since provided a number of power generation equipment to power plants including the Samcheonpo thermal plant in 1978. The implementation of the quality assurance system to perform EPC projects in 2001 helped us grow as a major EPC player in the Middle East, India and Southeast Asian markets.
Our quality management systems for water plants include ISO 9001 and ASME. Starting with the Farasan desalination plant in Saudi Arabia in 1978, we have grown into the world’s largest EPC contractor for water plants.
For castings and forgings, we implemented ISO 9001, ASME and KEPIC quality management systems. We have supplied key parts and materials for power stations, vessels and industrial facilities at home and abroad since we started castings and forgings operation in 1982. Today, we are an internationally recognized material maker having integrated production processes from materials to finished products.
For construction business, we operate KEPIC and ISO 9001 quality management systems. Since we began electric generation construction for the Uljin nuclear power plant in 1982, we have successfully completed numerous construction projects of nuclear, thermal and wind power plants as well as various civil works and apartment projects, and are currently expanding into the overseas EPC business.
