“Sharing Kimchi with Love” Event

The “Sharing Kimchi with Love” event is held every year as a joint effort with the local community. Around 400 people from the volunteer groups of Doosan, the local government, National Council for Volunteer Organizations, multicultural family volunteer group and partner companies gather for the event, which involves preparing five thousand Kimchi cabbages to deliver to childcare centers, social welfare centers, disadvantaged households and multicultural families living in the Changwon region.

Providing a Helping Hand to Agricultural Villages

Doosan has an ongoing alliance with seven agricultural villages in Korea, such as Gwisan village in Changwon, Jang-gi village in Goseong and Masan village in Haman, all for the purpose of providing a helping hand to local farmers during the farming and harvest season each year. We also assist with fixing up dilapidated facilities and improving the environment through efforts that include doing repair work and painting wall murals.

Public Safety & Firefighting Training Program

The company has a Health & Safety Volunteer Group composed of employees who are experts in the areas of disaster response, firefighting, public health and hygiene. They conduct programs for children at childcare centers and workers at social welfare facilities to teach them the basics of how to respond to disasters, such as fire outbreaks and earthquakes, and instructions on how to use fire extinguishers and fire hydrants, how to carry out CPR(cardio pulmonary resuscitation) and use the AED(automated external defibrillator).

Youngsters Protection Campaign

We have another volunteer group called the Youngsters Protection Group, whose primary role is to ensure that youngsters are not preyed upon by businesses operating in the entertainment venues by regularly checking on the situation there and reminding business owners that employing minors or selling to them is strictly prohibited.
